Macarons de Anneliese is your source for elegant gourmet desserts in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area.  With our unique take on the French macaron, we increased the flavor of a French macaron to give our customers a scrumptious dessert to enjoy with their coffee.  Unlike the traditional French macaron, ours are made with ground hazelnuts rather than almonds, giving them a distinctive, flavorful hazelnut shell.  When the shells are combined with our mocha ganache filling, it creates the ultimate flavor trifecta...hazelnut, chocolate and coffee!  In addition, our macarons are gluten-free and just 100 calories, with less than 1.5 grams of cholesterol and less than 5 grams of fat. 

Macarons de Anneliese really began in 1964, when our owner first raced home from Hawthorne Park Elementary School to watch The French Chef with Julia Child. Our owner's mother is a great cook in her own right, and she encouraged efforts to recreate those recipes regardless of the result. The recipes used by Macarons de Anneliese were directly inspired by these two great chefs who began our owner's love of cooking.

Macarons de Anneliese is a woman--owned, minority-owned business located in historic Mount Holly, New Jersey, a designated Urban Enterprise Zone.  We are committed to providing employment and culinary career opportunities for local residents, including "second chance" employment for non-violent offenders.  Our mission is to make really good things to eat, while doing good for our community and its residents.
